Cambodia

As the base of the former Khmer Empire, Cambodia is blessed with a wealth of historical sites. It was previously off limits to tourists and its attractions lay undiscovered for years during the troubled years of the Khmer Rouge. However, it is now one of Asia’s fastest growing tourism destinations with the magnificent temples of Angkor the jewel in the crown. However, Cambodia is much more than the wonders of Angkor. It offers stunning scenery of beaches and rainforests. Visitors will be transported back in time to a land that has been protected from the excesses of modernization.

While the Angkor complex is the reason the majority head to Siem Reap, the province also has other attractions such as the temples of Beng Mealea, Bantaey Srei and the “holy mountain" range of Phnom Kulen. Siem Reap city is located 3-km south of the temple park and is now the fastest growing destination in Cambodia. It has three PGA-rated golf courses, an abundance of global hotel chains and superb dining options. For more leisurely pursuits, Sihanoukville has casinos, luxury hotels, a great collection of mid-range accommodation and a fun but low-key nightlife. Originally established by the French as a hill station, Bokor was designated a national park in 1993. It spans four provinces and remains home to elephants and tigers. Phnom Penh is strategically located at the crossroads of the Bassac, Tonle and Mekong rivers. This is a beautiful city with stunning colonial heritage, a smart riverside promenade with a glittering palace and a great selection of restaurants and hotels. Cambodia is a fantastic location as it has history, heritage an abundance of un touched countryside and excellent meeting facilities
